WAID Holiday Party Prep: Final Decor and Budget Overview

photo 5

To finish off the year and my slew of holiday-specific posts, I’d love to share my photos from the holiday gathering I had with my girls.  I put my own advice into practice and selected affordable decor pieces, budget-friendly food options, and made sure to repurpose holiday and event trinkets I already owned.  The end product was a festive event that set a calm, cozy mood and provided an endless amount of treats and season-inspired drinks for my guests to enjoy.  In terms of budget, I stuck to my goal and only spent $158.90 for the whole event– I splurged a bit for this amazing, gold velvet I used as an accent texture in my fabric backdrop (…only $8.90 over!).

Holiday Party Spending Breakdown

Trader Joe’s: Food and Beverages — $24.36

Dollar Tree: Decor and Serveware — $9.40

Giant: Food and Beverages — $71.87

JoAnn’s: Fabric for Holiday Backdrop — $53.27

Take a look at the final product!
