The 2015 bridal runways were overtaken by a revival of romance. Dresses featured layer upon layer of tulle, exquisite lace, detailed beadwork, soft gray and blue colorations, and so many more small yet statement-making details. One of my personal favorite trends from the 2015 runway was the off-the-shoulder neckline. There’s something so romantic, and subtly sultry, about showing off a little shoulder. A new year right around the corner means an influx of new, Spring wedding dress trends. Our focus for this post is on the ball gowns of the new season. These looks bring the glam and “princess” feel many brides desire, but they definitely have a more relaxed vibe — these designers placed comfort and movement at the forefront.
I have recently become more of a Lilly fan–I can honestly say I wasn’t too keen on their attire beforehand. The Fall and Spring lines they’ve produced within the past year or two have been more sophisticated and definitely more trend-right (in my opinion) than the Lilly dresses of the past. For those of you who don’t know me very well, I am a huge fan of Project Runway. I have watched every season since the show began and continue to watch it religiously to this day. This past week, the designers had another unconventional materials challenge (I personally believe they are overdoing the unconventional challenge thing this season…) where they were challenged to create a mini collection in teams of three.
