The 2015 bridal runways were overtaken by a revival of romance. Dresses featured layer upon layer of tulle, exquisite lace, detailed beadwork, soft gray and blue colorations, and so many more small yet statement-making details. One of my personal favorite trends from the 2015 runway was the off-the-shoulder neckline. There’s something so romantic, and subtly sultry, about showing off a little shoulder. To finish off the year and my slew of holiday-specific posts, I’d love to share my photos from the holiday gathering I had with my girls. I put my own advice into practice and selected affordable decor pieces, budget-friendly food options, and made sure to repurpose holiday and event trinkets I already owned. The end product was a festive event that set a calm, cozy mood and provided an endless amount of treats and season-inspired drinks for my guests to enjoy. In terms of budget, I stuck to my goal and only spent $158.90 for the whole event– I splurged a bit for this amazing, gold velvet I used as an accent texture in my fabric backdrop (…only $8.90 over!).
